E is the only one that makes sense. A comes close though.

I am stumped here. Pardon me guys for this stupid interpretation. In A her does not have a precedent. I feel D here. trahul's link does not provide enuff consensus.

A & E are the closest to a good answer.

travels inspired her - ACTIVE
travels served as inspiration- PASSIVE

and gmat likes active voice usually, hence going with A
