Hi,

I hope this helps

As identified by you " Fact that the " is incorrect as it makes the sentence wordy. Hence eliminate D & E

Great so now we got 3 options left

C : Growing number of people purchasing plane tickets online -> SV error Hence eliminate

Now we come to the last 2 A & B

B : Airline executives are convinced, just as 1/3 of bank customers
What are they convinced off ? It should be customers prefer human teller but B does not link it

Thus A is correct using that to make the sentence make sense.

Disclaimer : I am not a Verbal Whiz so plz feel free to provide insights to my reasoning as well

"That" should come after "convinced".

^ I agree. Regarding the reasoning for eliminating C, I think the lack of "that" is what makes it incorrect. I don't see how there is a subject verb disagreement. Could anyone explain that??

What SV error are you referring to in option C. ? couldn't find one .
On a side note, I tried making the statement // with convinced that... that many travellers.. but missed to see no that in B

One explanation I read also mentioned that "as compared to" is wrong

KUDOS
Correct me if i am wrong.

A Correct (Though i thought will is too strong to use and would should be used)

B wrong . because ... "That" is placed at the wrong place which seems to be modifying the clause before it.

C wrong Because of wrong usage of idiom prefer x to Y " still prefer human tellers as compared to automatic teller machines"

D and E also eliminated for the same reason.

Give Kudos if you like the answer.

convinced that X will use

B - would - not preferred
