A. Incorrect. Improper use of an adverb.
B. Incorrect. The game of chess is any instance of the game. This response would require 'a' as an indefinite article.
C. Incorrect. Same issue as B.
D. Correct.
E. Incorrect. Would require the first to clauses to be combined, followed by 'politics often do as well'.
