+1 for E

to help it design remove the ambiguity and clearly states warby parker will help google in designing fancy glasses.

Hope it helps.

Hi arun6765

Confused with second "it".

E) it has approached Warby Parker, an e-commerce eyeglass company, to help it design : 2nd "it" can refer to Warby parker or google.

+1 E.
Pronoun Ambiguity is not such a big thing on the GMAT. I think construction wise E looks the best.

A) it has approached Warby Parker, an e-commerce eyeglass company, to help it for designing--- For designing is wrong. We prefer to design in such cases

B) Warby Parker, an e-commerce eyeglass company, has been approached so that it can design--- Run ON

C) it has approached Warby Parker, an e-commerce eyeglass company, to design--Awkward. No Verb

D) Warby Parker, an e-commerce eyeglass company, has been approached to design-- Run On

E) it has approached Warby Parker, an e-commerce eyeglass company, to help it design-- Looks fine

A) it has approached Warby Parker, an e-commerce eyeglass company, to help it for designing
B) Warby Parker, an e-commerce eyeglass company, has been approached so that it can design : Active voice is preferred. Also after the dependent clause, we need Google as subject for the independent clause.
C) it has approached Warby Parker, an e-commerce eyeglass company, to design : Meaning error: It means that WP is going to design. But original sentence says WP is going to help Gooogle.
D) Warby Parker, an e-commerce eyeglass company, has been approached to design : Same error as in B
E) it has approached Warby Parker, an e-commerce eyeglass company, to help it design

Now, between A & E, I choose E as 'to help it design' is clear in meaning if compared with 'to help it for designing'.

The difference lies in the meaning. Google needs help from Warby Parker. C means that Warby Parker will design it alone.
