it is between B and E.. eventhough E doesn't have any grammer mistakes,B sounds better than E does.

B

(A) while being an adolescent -being an adolescent....wordy
(B) while in adolescence - while is really not needed here...
(C) at the time of her being adolescent -wordy
(D) as being in adolescence -wordy as well..
(E) as an adolescent

This is purely based on idioms...

The only version that is correct is "as an adolescent"...so E is the correct answer.

But "as" should not introduce a clause?

here 'as' is used for "in the capacity of"
here, no comparison is made with the usage of 'as'.

Hi all,

If a sentence starts with Although then WHILE is not required in the same sentence part. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Agree with the OA E sounds the best while is not required due to Although.

i am going with the option E here. "as" here used as preposition here. for example " as a child, i thought i could fly". so E wins

Can someone throw some light on the although and while relation mentioned in the above post?
