I am aiming for Fall 2011 MBA intake in US.

Does this affect my chance for admission by any chance?

I think by end of Jan, the R2 deadlines of most US schools will be passed. You would be left to apply for R3. International students are being encouraged to apply in R1 & R2 to get sufficient time for visa processing & other stuff. Also, to utilize financial aid options, one should apply in first two rounds. So IMO, yes you will be a little late.
