Should sounds like American researchers are recommending that every 26 seconds a person in the US should experience a coronary event. Clearly wrong for me.

A coronary event will strike one person once in every 26 seconds. This is monstrous.

D is the answer for me. The given OA is wrong I believe.

It sounds awkward, but I think it's used as in: "Should you require any further information..."

The word ‘should’ expresses a suggestion, or a recommendation or even a wishful thinking, whereas the text is just a report of some pattern of happening in the coronary field. Choice E is guilty of using a wrong diction
