(A) from one another than people who live in various European capitals
(B) from one another than are people who live in the various capitals of Europe
(C) each from the others than people living in various European capitals

It's B.

should be B.

first need different from...
second, one another is correct here.
third, the comparision is between the differences among american indians and the differences among the people who live in various European capitals.

Textbook explanation.

(B) for the exact same reasons.

I'll go with A, since it seems to use ellipses correctly. B is not wrong but in a noun comparision (American Indians vs people in European capitals), A is correct as well. Since A is more concise than B, I chose A.

E.g.
I have more money than Susan
I have more money than does Susan
I have more money than Susan does

are all correct, IMO, for GMAT pick the most concise.

OA is B..

GMAT prefer concise and simple sentece, however, in this case we need "are" to make it sense.
Choice A means "American Indians point out that they are not one body: they speak hundreds of different languages, and they are probably more different from one another than from people who live in various European capitals." So it illogically changes the meaning of the sentece .

Will go with B.

Correct comparison.
A makes the mistake of comparing american indians and europeans.

But the comparison should be between the difference bt the american indians and the difference bt the people in european capitals.

B still uses ellipsis - the ellipsed word being Different.

If you read the full sentence (as it appears in B)

UNELLIPSED VERSION

American Indians point out that they are not one body: they speak hundreds of different languages, and they are probably more DIFFERENT from one another than people who live in the various capitals of Europe
are DIFFERENT

ELLIPSED VERSION

American Indians point out that they are not one body: they speak hundreds of different languages, and they are probably more DIFFERENT from one another than are people who live in the various capitals of Europe

The trick is to understand which word it is that needs to be/ can be ellipsed - ARE is crucial to retain the comparison - the adjective DIFFERENT is UNDERSTOOD in the second Part of the comparison and hence ellipsed.
