Number in black are given and in red are calculated.

Now, since $$x+3x=100$$, then $$x=25$$ and therefore $$? = 25-10= 15$$.

Refer diagram below:

Calculation sequence is as per arrow

We require to find the shaded region %

$$= \frac{\frac{3x}{5}}{4x} * 100$$

= 15%

Required answer would be [ (NB)/Total ] * 100 = 15%

We can assume there are 20 members in the Malmo family, so 5 of them wear glasses and 15 don’t. Furthermore, 10 of them have blue eyes and 10 don’t. Lastly, 4/5 x 10 = 8 members who have blue eyes don’t wear glasses. That means 2 members who have blue eyes wear glasses and therefore, 3 members wear glasses and don’t have blue eyes. So the percent of the Malmo family members that wear glasses and do not have blue eyes is 3/20 x 100 = 15.
