at least 3 things are being tested here, either...or, idiomatic form of "aid" and parallelism.

It's between A and D. I believe 'aid in' is the correct idiom thus i pick A

OA is A, the correct idion is aid in...

this leaves us with A and E,

"aid in" is the correct idiom hence A.
