I fell for D .. but C almost seems correct... the only thing that still disturbs me is the part where which is placed.

Since the "which" modifier is not a "vital noun modifier" it has less priority than the vital noun modifier that comes before the comma. Therefore it can break the modifier touch rule, it's one of the exceptions.
