Hi Guys,
As I am done with my GMAT, I was seeing all the college sites - their course structure and career statistics, something just caught off my eyes; something which has not been ever discussed alot by anybody on GMATCLUB
As I went through Fuqua and Tepper's site, please find below the links
https://www.fuqua.duke.edu/documents/mba ... 011-12.pdfand
https://kelley.iu.edu/MBA/Careers/Statis ... 20163.htmlI noticed that the lowest salaries for the colleges in question are $25k and $28k - I got shivers in my spine seeing these numbers mainly because I dont want to be left with a low-paying job after investing a lot into my MBA fees and expenditure. Please let me know if I am missing some anything.
Whenever I see those bottom numbers in the range, I always think that they are people that went to 1 or 2 places. The first would be an early stage startup, where you're salary is very small, but perhaps you have a significant equity arrangement. The other is working internationally in a developing country. If you're working in Nigeria, I'd go out on a limb and say they won't be paying you 100k USD, as the cost of living there is way different.
Whatever the scenario is, I imagine the grads that have those salary numbers took those jobs knowing the situation. I do not think those numbers are grads that had no other option than to take a hourly job at McDonalds, lol.
I could be wrong - but that is just my 0.02.
