i think the highest scores i ever see around here are around 51 (maybe i've seen a 52...don't really remember). GMAT says that the scores range from 0-60. has anyone actually gotten a 60? if you get every question right on the test while you're taking it, will you get a 60?

i only ask because one of my friends says he has a friend who scored a 60 on quantitative. he was basically like "i have a friend who you should recommend as a tutor. he got a 60 in math." i was like "if your friend did, that's impressive. i've never even heard of anyone scoring that high even though GMAT says their range is 0-60 so in theory it's possible."

just curious more than anything else...

RVD.

I think 51 is the highest you can score on the real GMAT.

GMAT officially says that max score is 60... Then, I think, if you answer each question correctly, you must get 60. But I have never seen smb who scored more than 51.

Well, I don't think so that a person can score more than 51. In the GMATPrep exam, I did all the 37 questions in Quant correctly. Still, I got a 51.

I don't think they have two different algorithms for GMATPrep and actual GMAT.

Thanks,
Chiranjeev

Yes, you're right. I've already found in another topic that scores 52-60 were reserved for the future... From the other hand, I don't understand why do they need to reserve smth...

Even then i have noticed that both the software accurately diagnoses a students weak point and assess them likewise. their score somewhat matches
