Both "his/her" and "his" are ok. However, GMAC normally prefers "his". Blame it on sexism.

However, if you do use such sentences in AWA, I suggest you use "his/her". You might not want to offend the person who could be anyone reading your passage.

Pronoun number issue: Indefinite pronoun ending in”one” such as anyone, is singular.

A) send in their resumes [Pronoun – number issue – eliminate it]
B) send their resumes in [Pronoun – number issue – eliminate it]
C) send in their resume [Pronoun – number issue – eliminate it]
D) send their resume in [Pronoun – number issue – eliminate it]
E) send in his resume [Hold it]

Answer: E

Anyone is Singular Pronoun. So you can't use their. Only choice left out is "E"

Seems like a simple case of subject verb agreement Anyone is singular. This question not that brutal in my opinion.

But, is "anyone" ever plural for any context?

"Anyone"- Singular Noun and "his"- Singurlar pronoun.
So ans is E.
