I have 6 years of upper management experience in a large international health care company. My dad was the CEO and is now the chairman of the board, would it hurt me or help me if I indicated my dad's involvement with the company on my applications?

That would probably hurt you unless your dad was an alumni or generous donor to that particular program.

Plenty of kids are in top MBA programs in similar situation (especially from Asia). If you are being groomed to take over the business and etc, situations like that is pretty common. It won't necessarily hurt your situation because some schools welcome applicants like you (because it will strengthen their alumni network for the future, especially if you are a heir-apparent for a large multi-national). Just make sure you communicate your plans and goals clearly in your application if that is the case.

Thanks for the input, my concern was that they may discredit my work experience (which will be the strongest part of my app along with my GMAT score) as they may feel I did not earn it.
