Hi everyone,
I am a B.Tech graduate and I am gonna write my GMAT exam.I am gonna apply with my GMAT score after 2-3 years. So does the time period after which I have taken exam affects my profile while applying for B-Schools. Will there be any preference difference between the person 'A' with 3 years of experience and a recent score in GMAT or a person 'B' with 3 years of experience and a score 3 years old.
I hope you understand my question and will be able to reply accordingly.
Thanks in advance!

GMAT score stays competitive from one year to the next. Percentile rankings do change but the shift is gradual over long periods of time. If you plan to apply within the next 2-3 years, you can take the GMAT right away.
But I would suggest you to start working on it passively right now (reading books/magazines/newspapers, checking out a grammar book, revising Math fundamentals etc) and take the test in a year. The reason is that sometimes, after 2-3 yrs of work-ex, you are unable to exit immediately because of onsite offers/promotion etc. If something like that happens, you might end up pushing that 5 year validity.
