Oh, the "they" refers to the students, not the school. I thought is was some gadget that disabled the wireless for the room.

Actually in Darden the internet is turned off by the school during 1st year classes.
However, needed the professor can turn it on anyway. In each room there is a closet where we have "The button" located. I don't know how the technology works, but it does and there are no other wireless connections working on the perimeter of the classroom.

Wow! Darden has its act together.

BTW, I recently read in a national survey (forgot the source) that UV ranked as the second most beautiful college campus in the nation (Pepperdine was #1). Could either you or Pelihu post some pics after finals if you get a chance?

Sure!
I'll take some pics and post it, but really both Darden and the rest of UVA are truly beautifull!

It's been on my mind to take some photos of the campus and Darden. I'll definitely do it after we get through finals (it might have to wait until after the break).

At INSEAD it's at the professors discretion. Most don't like you keeping your laptop open, though.

At McCombs it depends on the class.

It's like that at OSU also. For instance, right now I'm taking a Data Analysis (aka Stats) course where a laptop is all but required. And for my Operations Management class, there will be times where we will need one. Which is why I'm all the more peeved that mine still hasn't arrived and that Dell can't manage to update their order status webpage properly! :?
