Nothing wrong with A for me....

A.... correctly uses have + maintains the parallelism become thinner and.... more complex

(B) "the power of both" seems more correct than "both the power".

"their" in D and E has no antecedent --> eliminate D and E.
"the power of both ....and ...." is correct ---> B is correct.

A seems to suggest that the electronic devices have vastly increased.

This one is B.
The reason why it is not A is :

"Both A and B .....have" is correct.
But here it is :
" the power of Both A and B ....has "
