At 12:10 o'clock Bill leaves point A towards point B at a speed of 30 Km/h. At 13:40 o'clock Richi leaves from the same point towards point B also, but at a speed of 60 Km/h. At what time will Richi passes over Bill?

A. 14:40.
B. 15:10.
C. 16:10.
D. 15:40.
E. 15:30

Distance travelled by Bill in 1hr 30min ( 12:10 to 13:40) = 30kmph*(90/60)hr = 45km

Relative speed = Richi's speed ~ Bill's speed = 30kmph

Time taken by Richi to cross Bill = 45/30 = 1.5 hrs

Time at which Richi will cross Bill = 13:40 + 1:30 = 14:70 = 15:10 hrs

(t + 1.5) * 30 = t* 60
t= 1.5
Meet = 12:10 + 3 h rs =
3:10

simple logic

by 13:40 Bill would cover 45 kms

in next 1 hour( i.e. @ 14:40) bill would cover 45 + 30 -75 kms
and richi 60 kms
again in next 30 minutes ( i.e. @ 15:10 ) bill would cover 75 +15 = 90 kms and richi would pass him as she would cover 60 + 30 =90 kms

hence 15:10 is right answer

R leaves 1.5 hrs after B. And, in these 1.5 hrs B will cover 45 Kms distance.

Relative speed= 60-30= 30 Km/hr (since both are walking in same direction)

Time that they will meet= 45/30 = 1.5 hrs after Richi started.

13:40 +1:30= 15:10

B is the answer
