Chances are quite high that you'll see a DS question that tests this EXACT concept on Test Day (you'll likely see it just once, but it's an easy 'pick up' if you recognize it). The broader concept that is tested here is your ability to spot a 'multiple' of a given piece of information and use that pattern to avoid doing heavy calculations. Take note of any question that seems to ask for a really specific combination of items. Here, the question asks for the price of 8 posters and 6 maps....but WHY 8 and 6??? Whoever wrote this question chose those two numbers for a specific reason....maybe it's because we're supposed to look for multiples....
