in c cents : 1 pound of salami = 16 ounces of salami

=> 1 ounce of salami : \(\frac{c}{16}\) cents

=> a ounce of salami: \(\frac{{a * c }}{100}\) cents

IMO D Lets assume a= 32 ounces, c=2
so convert ounces into pound
32/16=2 and per pound is 2 cent then 2 pound is 2*2=4 plot these values into question and only D will give answer 4

1 oz = 1/16 lbs
a oz = a/16 lbs
c is cost per pound

Since a ounces is a/16 pounds, the cost of a ounces of salami is c x a/16 = ac/16.

Alternate solution:

Since 1 pound = 16 ounce, c cents per pound means c/16 cents per ounce and therefore, the cost of a ounces of salami is c/16 x a = ac/16.

Answer: D
