A. (0, −3)
B. (0, 6)
C. (−6, 0)
D. (−3, 0)
E. (3, 0)

To find the x-intercept, we let y= 0. Plugging in zero for y, we have:

0 = 2x + 6

-6 = 2x

-3 = x

So the point at which the given line intersects the x-axis is (-3,0).
