Consider the image.

B is a point equidistant from points A and C. How far is B from either point ?

(1) The coordinates of the points A and C are (1,2) and (2,1) ,respectively
Not sufficient, as shown.

(2) The distance between A and C is √2
Clearly not sufficient.

(1+2)No new info, and point B could still be anywhere on the line shown.

Suppose coordinates of point B ( x, y)

(1) The coordinates of the points A and C are (1,2) and (2,1) ,respectively

Distance between A & B = Distance Between A & C

$$(y-2)^2 + (x-1)^2 = (y-1)^2 + (x-1)^2$$

Solving above equation gives x=y. <-- Not sufficient

(2) The distance between A and C is √2

No Information about coordinates of Point B. <-- Not sufficient

Combining (1) & (2), we don't have any information about point B.
