Honestly I don't know what you should do, as it's really a personal decision on your part.

Getting a job at a hedge fund (an industry that is in the midst of a huge hangover post credit crisis) isn't going to be easy no matter what. Going to a top school isn't going to really assure you that job - because a lot of it will come down to your hustle and ability to network - it's far from being the "lazy" route where you sit back and expect people to come to you.

These are career/life issues you need to figure out on your own. You may be unsure and confused, but there's not a whole lot I can tell you to clarify, because it's based on your gut and instinct what you should do next.
