Hello everyone!
I am a new poster to this site... I am considering pursuing and MBA, likely through a part-time local or online program and had some basic questions to help get started. A little background - BA Politics, BA Psychology (UC Santa Cruz, 2005). I have had 6 years of experience including office administration (2-3 years - think tank and newspaper) as well as marketing (3 years).
So I have been reviewing some very good information regarding books, etc, as well as what to expect from the GMAT.
What is the order of things in terms of applying to school?
I noticed that the MBA website indicated that we can choose to send out scores to 5 different programs. If I am taking the test this summer/fall and am applying for school beginning next fall (I presume), how does that work? Do I send the scores in advance of my application to the schools I am interested in?
Ultimately, I am looking for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 school at this point... if you score incredibly well on the GMAT, will it offset your GPA to some extent?
I am sure I will have a million more questions but this is a good start!
Thanks!
