GMATClubbers,

I've started preparing for GMAT in May, and I am still preparing as GMAT prep never ends . I had many breaks during these months such as surgery, new job, and hectic work schedules. I persisted and finished 8 books from MGMAT. After completing MGMAT books in few months, I feel that I don't remember all the details and frequently go back to my notes and start reading them again with some frustration.
I need to follow some strategy to at least touch all sections- PS,DS,SC,RC and CR- in every couple of days. I'm yet to prepare flashcards for Idioms and different SC patterns such as if-then constructs, modifiers etc in MGMAT SC book.
Can some one suggest how to practice with questions from different sections before starting full length CAT tests?

For SC ,go through a particular concept ,practice the questions in OG which test that concept and then only move to the next topic.
For CR again follow the same strategy.
For RCs, go through the strategies on the forums here and then keep practicing passages from RC99.

Use the same strategy for Quant. The idea is to master a particular concept properly instead of moving randomly.

I had started preparing the same way, but it took so much time to cover all the concepts once from MGMAT books + Powerscore CR & CR books.
I'll start with OG and MGMAT books again directly jumping on the question drills and try to find out weak areas.
One thing I know that my approach for looking for answers has changed completely for Verbal section. I've started reading actively for RC and CR , and I always read from broader point of view with an eye on transition words, mood and structure.
Now, I try to break then sentence to identify different parts and look for any types of errors.
One thing I've realized that staying in GMAT zone is very important , otherwise it's very easy to lose focus and get frustrated.
Thanks
