Are you sure C = 3/10, I think it is 2/10. So that C.

i get 2/7

votes she needs to get 1/2

3/10 + x=1/2

x=1/5

2/10/7/10=2/7

B

Out of 10 parts Beth received 3. She needs 2 more out of the remaining 7 parts to make it 5 (1/2 of 10). So it's 2/7.

I will go with B.

Why?

Same reason.

Assume that total no of votes is 10. She already has 3. She needs 2 more. Out of 7 remaining, she needs 2. Fraction is thus 2/7.
