2. Between 3:00 am. and 3:00 p.m. of the same day, the
minute hand of a properly operating clock, indicated by the
figure above, will turn through how many degrees?
(A) 0
(B) 1,200
(C) 2,160
(D) 4,320
(E) 8,640

I cant get a grip on the concept. The OA is D..need my concept cleared. it so confusing.

Let me try and explain.
Between 3.00 am and 3.00 pm, we have 12 hours.
For every hour that has passed, the minute hand has to go full circle once.
ie it sweeps 360 degrees every hour.
So for 12 hours,it'll cover 360*12 =4320

Hence,D.
Hope that helps.. shoot questions, if any

Cheers !

oh k here is the answer
in an hour the clock hand will move 360 degree
in 12 hours it will move 12 * 360 = 4,320
