Is 1+x+(x^2)+(x^3)+.....+(x^10) positive?
1. x<-1
2. (x^2)>2

Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but Statement (2) ALONE is not sufficient
Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but Statement (1) ALONE is not sufficient
BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient
EACH statement ALONE is sufficient
Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient

Can we solve this question using Pascal's triangle Binomial Series?
Actually im unable 2 recollect that series.Is it something like this?

(1-x)^(-1)=1+x+(x^2)+(x^3)+---

D is the right answer...but i wanted 2 know can we use this binomial series here?..i am unable to recollect it's correct formula..perhaps this series can simplify the method to derive the answer.
