IMO B.

Q: $0.5 a day,$ 14 will last for 28 days after which a negative balance will begin and continue up to a max allowed debt of $10 , so 28 + 10 * 2 = 48 days. 1) Not relevant to the question as the plan does not mention if internet usage counts or just that the plan is active. INSUFFICIENT 2) We assumed in the above calc that the initial balance was$0. Had Bob a debt to begin with - the total working internet days would reduce... hence SUFFICIENT

Hence B.

Solution

Given
• Bob’s internet provider, UzMobile, offers unlimited data.
• UzMobile charges at $$0.5$$ per day at $$12$$ a.m.
• Service is discontinued if Client debt exceeds $$10$$.
• Bob made a payment of $$14$$ in the morning.

To find
• The number of days, including today, Bob will be connected to the internet without any additional payments.

Let us analyse both the statements one by one.

Statement-1Bob didn't use his internet for two consecutive days”.

• We do not know whether the service provider charges Bob for the days when he did not use the internet or not.

Hence, Statement 1 alone is not sufficient to answer the question.

Statement-2Bob's initial balance was \$0”.

• Bob’s initial balance was $$0$$.
• Hence, he can use the internet services from$$14$$for:
o $$\frac{14}{0.5}$$=$$28$$ days.

After that, his debt will increase every day by $$0.5$$ till $$10$$ and his services will be stopped.
• It can happen for a maximum of:
o $$\frac{10}{0.5}=20$$ days

Hence, for $$48$$ days $$(28+20)$$ he will be connected to the internet services.

Thus, Statement 2 alone is sufficient to answer the question.
