Booth 2012 - Calling All Waitlist Applicants

Based on last year's posts, I've been expecting some sort of movement each day this week. I guess they are taking an extra week this year to decide who gets any open spots.

Yeah, at the very least I was expecting an update from Booth this week based on their 5/21 email which said, "In early June, we will be in contact to determine the date by which you need a decision."

Got the call today at 2:00 PM Eastern. In! Good luck to all those still waiting.

also got the admission offer today (1pm CST). Good luck to everyone else. Hang in there because something good will come out of this.

Think it's safe to say that Friday was the big movement day and the rest of us are now looking at the rare late summer admit?

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion yet....just 2 reports on Friday so they may have just started on Friday and will send out more next week.

Any movement reported today?

Just received a waitlist update email from Booth with a link to the Summer Waitlist Decision Notification Form. You can choose to remove yourself from the waitlist, remain on the waitlist until the last possible date for consideration, or provide them with a specific date by which you would need a decision. I wonder if they really try to get a decision to you earlier if you provide a specific date or if you are just culled from the waitlist at that time.

I am also on the Booth Waitlist. This is the second year that I have applied to Booth, and I think their message of 'we have many successful reapplicants' is a joke.

I know you're probably disappointed and frustrated with how things have turned out with Booth. However, you can't necessarily extrapolate that since you're a reapplicant and you're one the WL that Booth's message is a joke. There are quite a few successful reapplicants on this thread as well as the main Booth one. I don't know how far you made it in the process last year, but if this year is an improvement then I think that shows they are definitely open to giving people a 2nd look.

Being in limbo is really tough and I wouldn't wish a summer WL on anybody. If you have your heart set on going to Booth all you can do now is wait. I really hope that you and the others on this thread hear good news in the coming weeks. We are all rooting for you.
