BC is a strong finance school and since you are not interested in that career trajectory, I recommend that you join the Terrier network.
I also recommend that you combine your MBA with the MSDi curriculum at BU as it will be helpful when you try and recruit for the Tech jobs around the New-England area and possibly outside west.

BU Questrom is the clear winner here if tech is your focus. A full 28% of the class of 2017 (who accepted offers) went into tech after graduation: ... Report.pdf

On the other hand, as Stonecold mentioned, BC is a much stronger finance school. Only 5% of the class of 2017 went into tech after graduation and I only see two tech companies from their list of firms that hired grads from 2014-2016:

This indicates that BC doesn't have a strong tech recruiting pipeline set up. Since you're a career switcher and recognize that you will need the full support of your career services office, I think it makes most sense to attend the school where a significant proportion of students are able to land a job in tech afterwards. This indicates to me that tech employers have a good relationship with the school (i.e. career services) and a bigger alumni network in the types of companies & roles that you are targeting.

Best of luck!

Hello all! I'm having a difficult time deciding between the full time MBA programs at BU Questrom and BC Carroll and I was hoping the readers here would be able to give me a little advice, particularly since the two schools are similar in many ways. Here's the important info:

BU Questrom: $40k scholarship
BC Carroll: $50k scholarship
Intended career after graduation: Likely something in marketing or general management, hopefully in tech or retail. Not as much interested in finance.
*I am a career switcher coming from the arts, so career services could be extra important to me
**BU came through with their scholarship offer about a month after I was accepted to the program. In between the time I was accepted and offered the scholarship at BU, I made a 2k deposit at BC that I would forfeit by backing out, which I'm open to doing if it's the right decision.

Any and all advice would be very much appreciated! I'm sure I'd be happy going to either school as both are reputable and I love Boston, but I'm trying to explore both options as thoroughly as possible before making my final decision. Thank you!!
