IMO E.

Look at the split between duplicated F and duplication of F

How can we have duplicated F? Some how means to me as if we can clone a F and create a new one.

OTH, duplication of F considers possibility of similar construction of an existing F.

A,B,C out

Between D & E, E clearly expresses the condition.

icandy thanks for the explanation but I am still not convinced.

What will the end product of "duplication of facilities" ?..Won't it be called "duplicated facilities".

Further the "if only because" part in E looks awkward.

I googled this over though and found that "if only because" is kind of idiomatic

I got the following sentece from Bartleby
"But our knowledge of Judaism and Christianity needs to be more detailed than that of other great religions, if only because the Bible is embedded in our thought and language."

Though I didn't find any authentic resource explaining this the following link was useful

http://www.englishforums.com/English/Be ... g/post.htm

As far as this question goes the question of "duplication/duplicated" still remains though.
