Hi msurls,

From your post, it's not clear exactly how you've been studying for the last few months. Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Studies:
1) I have studied overall about 136 hours
2) I have used OG Quant, gmatclub, and various free videos and resources
3) I am only focused on quant right now. I got a 27 in a gmatclub test.

Goals:
4) My goal score is around 740
5) I will take the GMAT whenever I start getting practice test results that are above 680.
6) I will apply to business school probably in 2 to 4 years.
7) Top 25 U.S. schools

Hi msurls,

Since you appear to have put in some significant study time already, you really MUST take a FULL-LENGTH CAT (including the Essay and IR sections) sometime soon (perhaps this weekend); you can download 2 for free from https://www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). That initial diagnostic CAT is important - it helps to define your strengths and weaknesses and gives you a basis for comparison as you continue to study. Most Test Takers are not happy with that first CAT result, but that's not a big deal - the extra months of available study time you have are there so that you can IMPROVE on this initial practice result.

Yesterday, GMAC announced that some changes are going to be made to the format of the Exam - there's a discussion thread about that here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmat-is-chan ... 62569.html

Since some of the specifics are not yet known, it's going to take a bit of time for all of the available practice resources (including the available practice CATs) to reflect these changes to the Exam. Thus, while the question types, content tested and Tactics will all be the same, everyone's going to need some time to properly adjust to the new format and 'feel' of the Exam. You should still take one of the currently available practice CATs though (for the reasons described above). Once you have that Score, you should post back here and we can discuss how best to proceed.
