My parents never helped me get an internship. However, I did work for my father's consulting company until he decided to sell it and retire early....and he ended up having to fire me ON MY BIRTHDAY. True story.

Even in college, I found the concept of paying to work to be pretty strange. I can't imagine myself willingly paying to do that.

Technically, we all paid for internship.

There are those internship for credit programs where you receive college credit ...

But to receive those credits, you have to pay school just as if you are taking a class...
