(C) has not only captured customers from other phone companies but also forced these companies

it is more clear to say "these companies" instead of them, which is ambigious. therefore, A is a trap..

Present perfect tense parallelism eliminates E. "It" in B is unecessary. D is wordy and "them" in A has no clear antecedent.

Clearly C.

" them" in A and B has no clear antecedent.
not only...but also must be used for the same subject, thus D is out.
C is correct.

Consider between A and C, but C is preferable coz these companies is more clear than them

I have a doubt in this question, I accept C as the answer, but A cannot be stated as ambiguous because, lets see the statements here, them cannot refer to the people ( logical error) and it cannot refer to the same telecommunication company ( logical error). Hence C is the most apt answer but disapproving A because of Ambiguity is not correct.
