I am a re-applicant from last year and was on the wait list. I visited the school and attended a class and was impressed and also liked the overall atmosphere at the school

Stats:

M/26/India/IT Business Analysis (5+ Yrs incl 3.5 yrs of Intnl. work ex)
GMAT: 710
Decent acads
Good ECs.

Any other re-applicants here?

did my R2 interview with Julie tonight. things went well imo - she asked me typical questions and showed some interest in my goals. She kept agreeing with me when I said what part of UNC help my goal so I guess it was decent... now i gotta wait till february.....

Did you interview on campus or was it a phone interview?

any of you had any issues with application submission? After submitting, it doesn't show the "pay by credit card" option. There's only a check/money order option. do let me know if anyone faced similar issues and know what to do about it. I did call them up, but wasn't able to get through to anyone. Also left an email. But I need to pay by tomorrow

I had last minute issues with my application too. They are incorporating a new system, so sometimes a one off case has a problem. you need to call their IT department and let them know that this is an urgent matter. They are helpful and will sort it out.

anyone know if there's better chance if one is alum to NCSU? I was in their master of science program and the admission officer did take note of it...

I don't know. The technical help email id (webdev2@kenan-flagler.unc.edu) doesn't work. My message was undelivered. I called Sharon yesterday, but she wasn't available. I have sent emails to both Julie Gaudet and Sharon Moore, but I haven't heard back. Today morning I received an email saying my application has been submitted, but I can't pay. It says that I either mentioned I'd pay by check/money order or I asked for a fee waiver. I haven't done anything of that sort. In a few hours from now I'll be leaving for another place and may not have access to internet.

Even I can't schedule an alumni interview on the dates mentioned. So I had to go for a phone interview

Are you from India? There are a few cities where alums r available, if not, then phone is your next best option..

Yeah I'm. I chose dates from 12/12/2010 to 12/01/2011, but no alum interview options came up. And I don't think it even asked for which city I'm in. But anyway, I got an email saying my application has been submitted, but I'm not yet able to pay. So I guess my application won't go in for R2 deadline.

But a weird thing happened...
Just an hour before I submitted, I received an interview Invite from UNC...

Does UNC interview all applicants?
Is it possible to receive an invite before submission?
Or is it just a mistake??

yeah.. I read somewhere that they interview almost all applicants.. i think that gives the applicants a fair chance to present what cant be shown best on paper..

hi all,

i have also received the interview invite. The problem is the website does not throw any alum interview option or web cam interview option. Even the telephone interview slots are vanishing like anything :shock:

Has anyone from India been able to arrange an alumni interview?
