Hang in there!... I think everyone has those thoughts, at the end we will never know which one was the best choice since we won't ever attend two business schools to compare. We have to feel comfortable knowing that all of these schools are good choices!.

Yeah, it's just tough because with Consortium schools it feels like so much money is being risked based on where you choose to rank things. Oh well, all I can do is wait at this point.

I forgot how the fellowship works with R1 applicants: Do we commit to the school before we know what the financial aid looks like?

If you get into your #1 choice and they decide to offer you a full fellowship they are able to tell you with your admission. Beyond that, I believe you may have to commit ahead of having full knowledge of your financial aid package.

AnthonyMason Thanks. I was wondering how that worked since it's possible to get in to a Consortium school without earning a fellowship or earning Consortium membership.

FROM The Consortium Admissions Blog: Consortium referrals: Thankful you’ve sent us so many names
Image
What are we thankful for this Thanksgiving weekend? We’re thankful for nearly 40 Consortium referrals in the past 24 hours! Over the previous weekend, we launched a new page inviting anyone who could recommend a potential Consortium member to submit that information to us.

We promoted the new page on our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages first thing on Monday morning. We also sent an e-blast to our current students and alumni around lunchtime. Now, about 24 hours later, we have 38 new names to follow up with. That’s 38 new Consortium referrals, 38 new prospective members.

Thanks to the following people for submitting Consortium referrals to us: Ryan Day, Franklin Mora, Alvaro Mendizabal, Alexandra Becker, Jessica Latten, Donald Mixon, Chloe Fagan-Tucker, Aditya Merchant, Tai Adkins, Courtney Lee, Camille D. Clark, Abel Garcia, Onyebuchi Chilaka, Christina E. Markle, Stella Ashaolu, Faye Tippy, Milan Moncrief, Adam Guthrie, Vera Carter, Salvador Ocampo, David Hoyos, Audrey Capers, John (?), Megan Barbieri, Alexander Cain, Kyle Briscoe, Ngozi ntamere, Mark Jones, Brace, Raymond Ibe, Erica Smith, and Kedon Wilson.

We have referrals from alumni as far back as 1981 and students as recent as the class of 2017. Some of you submitted more than one prospect, too. So, again, thank you for that.

As the pie chart to the right shows, most of the 38 Consortium referrals so far came from current students. The bar graph at the top shows which schools were represented among students and alumni.

Keep up the good work! We can’t do it without the Consortium community. And have a Happy Thanksgiving.

last year none of the Consortium applicants had to commit to a school before mid-April. Consortium applicants had different deposit deadlines than regular applicants. I would expect that it is the same for this year.

FROM The Consortium Admissions Blog: Racism ‘a big problem’ in society; dealing with jerks; reading list for week ending Nov. 29
Sharing a share from Berkeley-Haas about CNN’s report on “race and reality in America.” Plus: A study about how “jerks” affect our day-to-day lives (and how to deal with them). A short reading list from a shortened holiday week.

Does anyone know when UCLA invites are coming out? The email sent out reads "early December."

Any guesses?

Hey folks! New to the forum and I've read through a lot of what you guys have been chatting about so forgive me for my elementary questions. It's that time of year when anxiety starts to creep up!

I applied CGSM Round 1 to SOM, Haas, and McCombs. Would you guys shed some light as to which round they are considered for each school and when I should anticipate hearing back? I've only gotten an interview invite from McCombs so I'm assuming I was dinged for the other 2.

My anxiety is getting high as I'm having to consider schools for Round 2 and I'm not particularly thrilled about having to write essays and make videos yet again. :?

Hi Lily,

Haas considers Consortium applicants for Round 1. They are still sending out invitations, I just got mine yesterday. Don´t lose hope!

I'm still waiting... testing the limits of my email refresh button on a daily basis.
Not sure if I want to know the answer to this question, but do we know if any CGSM Johnson applicants have received a notification?

I'm in at Emory! Formal decisions will be released tomorrow but they've started making calls tonight. Fellowship (Consortium and non-Consortium) information for Consortium applicants won't be provided until March.

Best of luck to anyone else who applied to Goizueta!

Does anyone know if schools are giving out partial scholarships if you applied via The Consortium? Are they just going to wait until the March draft to award any scholarships, let alone a full-ride? I'm trying to figure out, without having to call them, if Emory admitted me without scholarship or if they are just going to wait until March to offer anything. If it is the latter, not sure the policy is a competitive one.

In my experience they have, but it probably depends on the school.

AnthonyMason I hear you... I'm struggling myself with who to put as my #1 option. I like both schools, with one I think I have a much better chance to get in. And really don't wont to lose the money, it is a lot indeed, and going without any savings any scholarship amount would be good...

Hey guys. I recently got an interview invite at Anderson and I was disappointed to see that they are requesting official GMAT and Transcripts to be mailed directly to them. Does anyone know if Haas does the same as a part of their interview invite?

I had hoped that paying for official reports for the Consortium would save me the effort for individual schools, except a possible request after being admitted and accepting the offer.

Still grateful for the interview and holding my breath for a last minute interview invite from Haas.
