Right, I see your logic now. In previous years, all interview notifications were sent within a single week, so if that is still the case then tomorrow (October 19th) is the mid-decision date. HOWEVER, Booth changed their application this year and perhaps they changed their interview invite schedule as well? There are definitely less invites reported this year and all I've seen so far have high GMAT, high GPA, so there is still hope for all of us.

P.S. congrats on your interview danpo, are you planning to interview in Austria or fly to Chicago?

Thank you! I opted for an off-campus interview in London. Safe bet and the alumni I talked with all interviewed there.

Hi guys -

Congratulations to all who received invites and best of luck to those still waiting.

Any idea why on-campus interview is preferred over off-campus alumni interview?

Where did you pick that up? Generally, that is not the case. That being said, most schools expect candidates to make a reasonable effort to get to know the school. Hence, if you're from Chicagoland or nearby, then you might want to show up on-campus to show your commitment and get a feel of the school. Ultimately, this is for your own benefit too. This sentiment is not limited to Booth: I went to a Stanford event and the admissions officer mentioned that it amazes her how many people apply without ever having had any touch point with the school (through events, alumni, online chats or whatever it is). Likely, I went to a Yale coffee chat and the students also mentioned that the participation may tip the scale in your favor (assuming that you're a suitable candidate). So my takeaway is that showing up counts; if not for admission purposes, then at least for yourself.

Anyway, regarding your Booth interview, I highly doubt there is any disadvantage interviewing off-campus if you're located farther away.

EDIT: I now found the passage in the admissions portal that expresses a preference for on-campus interviews. My bad. However, the above still applies. I don't think you will be punished if you can't make it to campus, but make an effort to get to know the school.

Doesn't Booth conduct any virtual interviews?

According to the admissions portal, they do phone interviews for those who can't travel and/or be matched with an alumnus. They don't mention Skype.

So yesterday, all invites were for people with GMAT in the 760-770 range, today all invites that i see on Clear Admit is for people with GMAT scores of 740-750. I guess they are moving from high to low GMAT scores

Are you guys interviewing on or off campus? I feel like interviewing with alumni off campus might be better? Anyone has any thoughts?

Hey guys! Congrats to the ones who received the interview invite!
I have a question regarding the short answer questions. Is the 250 word-limit for each answer or does it mean that the total words for both answers should not exceed 250 words?
