Denied with a 770 here.

Wow, that is brutal but makes me feel a little better that I'm not the highest GMAT denied on Decision Tracker. Good luck the rest of the way, my friend.

That happened to me with Sloan. 770, good GPA and work-ex, but got straight dinged. It's all unpredictable, good luck to everyone with the calls you get! We'll all get into great schools at the end of the season, hopefully. :)

Received my invite via portal around 10am est on Friday. If the invites did go out in descending order based on GMAT score, it seems I barely made the cut with the last day invite. Nonetheless, very excited for the opportunity and appreciative of everyone in this thread who has contributed in one way or another.

Hi,

Received interview invitation from Booth! Need help with the following pre-interview essays. Only one essay from each group is to be answered.

Group A
What is the biggest difference you can make?
What motivates you?
What is something you’d like to start doing and something to stop doing?

Group B
What are you most excited to share when you meet someone new?
What is the boldest thing you have ever done?
What would your childhood self tell the present you?

Thanks in advance.

With the additional pre-interview short answer responses, do you think I can interpret the following question:

"What are you most excited to share when you meet someone new?",

as a "fun, personal information" type question - i.e. such that I simply talk about my interests/hobbies?

My only concern is that all the other prompts seem to go slightly "deeper" than that, so I wonder if going down such a route is too superficial and not the sort of response they're looking for.

Its stated that these questions are just for fun and not part of the interview process. The answers will not be shared with the interviewer thus I presume that you can be quite open in these questions and not tailor it as you did your essays. Since we have already demonstrated our fit for the school through the essays I would guess these are just add-ons and being frank wouldn't hamper your chances of admission.

I wouldn't worry too much about these. A lot of schools ask random stuff.
