According to Booth's website, "denied decisions are released at the mid-decision and final decision notification dates". The way I read it is that interview invites will be sent out until the mid-decision date, November 1. If you haven't received an invitation by then, you will be officially released.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info. Just curious, where did you get mid-decision date from? I couldn't find it on Booth's website or emails they sent. Thanks!

BananaNation, I guess that danpo has done some manual calculation as the Booth website does not mention any date for mid-decisions.

Correct! There are 10 weeks between the round 1 deadline on September 27 and the final decision notification on December 6. Hence, the mid-decision date is technically on November 1, 5 weeks after the round 1 deadline.

With that being said, I don't know for sure if that's really the day when early release decisions will be sent out. But right now is definitely too early to give up hope!

Right, I see your logic now. In previous years, all interview notifications were sent within a single week, so if that is still the case then tomorrow (October 19th) is the mid-decision date. HOWEVER, Booth changed their application this year and perhaps they changed their interview invite schedule as well? There are definitely less invites reported this year and all I've seen so far have high GMAT, high GPA, so there is still hope for all of us.

P.S. congrats on your interview danpo, are you planning to interview in Austria or fly to Chicago?

I dug up the following R1 stats from GMAT Club's decision tracker -

Batch/R1 Applicants/Invitations to Interview/% Invited
2018/281/125/44%
2019/380/128/33%
2020/300/127/42%
2021/135/13/9%(So far!)

Still early days!

Hi guys -

Congratulations to all who received invites and best of luck to those still waiting.

Any idea why on-campus interview is preferred over off-campus alumni interview?

Congrats on your invite mate. They prefer campus interviews because it gives you an opportunity to get to know their campus/culture/classes better AND it shows that you are willing to go an extra distance for this school, IMO. However, I don't think it makes that much of a difference overall.
