ED applicants without an interview (or ding) yet are likely in the 'maybe' category. If an RD applicant of similar profile (or diversity quotient) seems stronger, then its probably a ding/waitlist by month end (12 weeks from submission), else an invite. No expert here, just my $0.02

I agree. I believe the few last hopefuls at the bottom of the ED barrel might be compared to the general RD lot. If yes, then those who are still awaiting interview calls are probably at the "minimum qualifications required to be interesting" level among ED candidates .

I actually had that same thought. I got my interview request on 11/18, but wasn't able to schedule an interview due to the holidays and scheduling conflicts until 12/3. I was/am worried that even though I got my interview invite 3 weeks ago that I'll be compared to the RD class b/c of how late my results have come back from the interview.

Regardless, I view the whole thing with a bit of skepticism. The adcoms are not totally blindsided by each class as they come in -- I think the types of applicants they get have quite a bit of homogeny from year-to-year, and especially from round-to-round. I don't think anyone is at any material advantage or disadvantage being compared to either just ED or ED and RD.

I got an email update on a status change, then another email for the interview instructions. The time stamp on both of those are a few hours apart and in the afternoon.

Tell me about the wait! When I got the notice that they are pushing RD reviews to December I was a little relieved but when December rolled along I got anxious again.

Has anyone on here done their Business Certificate Program? (part of continuing ed)

I did it because I have a very bad GPA (2.9) but I did really good in this program (GPA 3.9) and I wonder if it'll do me any good....the Dean at the Continuing Ed Department also offered to lobby for me. But I am not sure what his success rate is. I applied RD on 11/13 and haven't heard zip yet! :/

I did have a question for you all. What is the likelihood that adcomm will allow me to defer a year? The reason is not to apply to other schools [I would be ok with putting a large deposit down to hold my place]

Today is exactly 9 weeks following the 10/6/2010 deadline for Early Decision and there seems to be a lot of activity (albeit mostly dings) coming from adcom...I wonder if this is a sign

just means that in general the RD applicant profiles are more attractive in general compared to the 'bottom of the barrel' ED apps

Hi all, I was also ED, interview complete last wk, waiting for decisions....

I was asked by my current employer to head up a large project in our India office for 3 months. This is not a promotion but pretty large, impressive responsibility for me. Does something like this warrant a call to CBS with a career update? Please advise, I"m not sure but am desperate for anything to boost my app!!
