I dont think it is weird to bring a parent. But I do think it will be less comfortable for you.
First day is all about meeting other people, whom you dont know, and hanging out with them.

Hey fellow Boothies, just want to clarify if any scholarship/award information has been communicated already? If I see no such information on my application portal, is it safe to assume I will not be receiving any? Thank you

Hey Filthydelphia - I was accepted r2 and received scholarship/fellowship info during the admit call & received a letter with award details on the portal.

Hope that helps! Congrats on the admit!

From what I see on the Booth website, it is a wonderful school to do an MBA. However, what is the culture of the school especially for those of us who didn't have a chance to visit it. In a virtual chat, I asked this question, and I saw obvious reasons such as the flexible curriculum and "pay-it-forward" mentality pervasive amongst the student body. From my school research, Sloan has a similar culture. How did any of you specifically describe the culture at Booth that delved deeper than these obvious reasons? Also, how else is Booth different from other top 10 business schools?
