Re: Calling all international students (current, prospective, alumni) [#permalink]
Thankyou for the thread @souvnik101990

Currently in the process of applying to Masters programs for Fall 2020 intake and already getting nightmares about post degree prospects(Should I just apply to Canada instead??). Have established fairly to only look at STEM programs but I still have my confusions on how OPT works, esp the 90 day rule associated with it. Would be grateful if someone can explain that to me.
Also from my understanding, during the 3 year OPT period with STEM, we don't need sponsorship from employers and can work on our student visa while applying for the H1B lottery hoping we get lucky each year. Am I missing something, or rather everything here? Would love to be clear on how this works.

Thankyou and have a good day!

Intro: I am international student and will be graduating with a STEM MBA + MS at Boston University in 2020. Currently, I going through the arduous recruiting cycle. Personally, I try to derive as much joy as I can while taking to folks from both within the tech industry and otherwise.

Are you an international student attending or planning to attend business school?

Do you have questions about OPT, VISA, STEM, and all the other acronyms that give us international folks pause and sleepless nights? Let's gather around and figure this out!

By way of introduction, I am an international student who is recruiting for full-time options in the US and going through many hoops to figure this journey out, and I am looking forward to sharing my experiences and also learn from each other! Let's get this going :)

Hey Souvik, I have heard about you enough (because I have been on this forum for a while now) but never really tagged/talked to you. There is always a first time.

I am the legendary Indian IT Male. :tongue_opt3 I am currently in USA on H1 So I know a lot about Visas and stuff already.

I don't know whether I will be pursuing my MBA from USA or India (Honestly, I want to stick to India based on my long term goals) but we will see how things go.

I would also be glad to provide any information that can help some folks on the forum!

Thanks for spending a minute!

Regards
