I just discovered a fiasco in my Kellogg application.

In the additional information section I had written

"I will complete short courses on Statistics and Microeconomics before I matriculate at "Stanford" in Aug 09"

:(

How much is the damage? While I dont think it will be a sole reason for a ding, yet this comes in the very last section of the application, and all the sheen of a good application is lost by this mistake!!! A Kellogg dream has started seeming a little too far.......

Any views?

If its any comparison, I sent a fee waiver letter request letter to UNC back a few months ago and forgot to replace DUKE of all places at one part, and they still granted it. Since it's just additional information I wouldn't worry too much, the only type of error that could really hurt you would be in an essay where you have to describe what you like about the school or what the school can do to help your goals. Your case was just a logistical error. I don't think it will make or break you.

I feel your pain, it's literally the LAST portion of the ENTIRE application...I did something similar...I did a cut and paste and just forgot...don't worry about it.

If this was actually a substantive portion of your application, it'd be a different story. This won't get you a ding.

Seems like it has been a pretty quiet week...not much happening. Here's hoping tomorrow is an exciting day for everyone waiting.

I bet this happens a lot more than you think. People just don't catch it. I would guess that when it happens they smile to themselves but it doesn't really affect your chances.

I actually sent in a CV with an XX for a number I wanted to include but forgot... got waitlisted. (not Kellogg)

I don't think it will make a difference. If you were applying to law school, you'd be screwed because that's the nature of the profession. But in this case, no big deal. :)

Awfully quiet the past few days...Now that everyone should have completed their interviews, I get the feeling that we're going to see admissions news slow down until the last week or so...just a hunch.

Feels like the night before an epic battle, the day before the storm, or many other similar cliches.
