Note the admitted students portal actually works now too...the next two weeks should be busy.

Do the adcom inform the people who are denied or they are only calling the admitted students?

I think kellogg's adcom is probably one of the busiest, they have thousands of applicants each year and yet they try to interview everyone.

given this amount of burden on the staff, I highly doubt the adcom would have the spare time to call denied students...

From what I can gather, the 'deny' decisions aren't released until the final decision day...

All decisions are rolling including dings and waitlists. If you look at last years thread around the middle of december you will see people were getting dinged. Waitlists came out later but did come out before the deadline. Admits were the first out but dings came not too long after.

Also your status for an admit will change online to something about sending official transcripts and scores. Your status if you are dinged will change to something about status being unknown. I recall that it changes but I don't remember exactly to what...but if your status goes from one thing to something else not about official transcripts its probably not the best sign.

Finally to really get you guys worked up. Online status often changed for people before they got phonecalls and before they got the ding email. Last year people would already know their decision and just have to wait until the end of that day or until the next day to get the "official" response. F5 is going to be getting a work out now isnt it.

OMG. Dec 8 2008. I am gonna remember this day for a LONG LONG time. This is the first day of my life changing completely!!!!

Regarding the call, basically they said congratulations....on behalf of Kellogg community they would like to congratulate me on my achievement so far etc etc....I will receive a packet in mail regarding admit weekend in February 2009 and also access to secured site for admitted students....etc ....if I didn't visit the campus yet, I should.....if i have any questions now on till Feb 09 I should call or email them.
