They don't call all accepted students? Good lord, what a nail-biter.
Nope, not all, and I'm not even sure most. And it's pretty random from what I've seen in previous threads, including earlier in this one.
Basically it makes 5pm seem like a death knell, even though it's not. I can't imagine having to make it to 5, and then opening the 'decision', knowing that you didn't get a call up until then. Just brutal. This is going to trigger some unhealthy symptoms.
I'm guessing everyone else has already heard back (hopefully positively) from other schools, so they aren't as concerned, even though they might very much want to be admitted to Sloan as gravy.
Wow, this surprises me. All my MIT admits have been called. Luck of the draw I guess.

I got the call, ultimately. I'm in SF, received it around 11AM ET.

Denied with Interview on: 2017/04/03 Heard back via: Email Location: United States GMAT: 740, Q49, V42 GPA: 3.5 WE: 60 months Industry: Other Decision Received on: 2017/04/03
It’s hard to believe that the 2016 – 2017 admissions season is nearing its end. We recently sent out MBA Round 2 decisions and we welcomed both MBAn and MFin AdMITs at our admitted student events. Our MBA R2 adMIT Weekend is also around the corner from April 20 – 22.
We do have one final upcoming application deadline for Round 3 MBA Admissions. Applications for this round must be submitted by April 10, 2017 by 3:00p.m. EST. All interviews for this round will take place on-campus, and candidates who apply during Round 3 will receive final decision notifications on or by May 17, 2017. Given the strength of the applicant pool in Round 1 and Round 2, we do anticipate a very competitive process with limited seats in Round 3. However, we do look forward to receiving your applications. Feel free to email us with any questions throughout the application process.

Hi,
I applied for MIT Sloan R3 and was wondering when the interview invite decisions will come out. For the other MBAs I applied to, the business schools would list the interview decision dates in addition to the final decision dates as well.

Thanks in advance!
In R2, we got email from the adcom informing interview decisions schedule after submitting application. I guess they might send another email for R3 applicants.

Admissions emailed me two days ago asking whether I was still interested in MIT and to share a few recent updates / achievements. Around 1pm EST today, my interviewer called with the official acceptance.
I'm very excited, but also have mixed feelings, given how long the wait has been and the amount of work required to get of the WL.
After the R1 decision, I spoke with 5 current students who made it off of the Sloan WL in previous years and followed their advice. I wrote a monthly long-form email with personal and professional updates, I visited campus for a conference and dropped by admissions, and I had a coworker send in another recommendation highlighting volunteer leadership.
