MBARunner, this is perhaps a silly question - but I'm assuming you were admitted already and put down an enrollment deposit at Stern before being invited to interview for Summer Start?
I did not get invited to interview for Summer Start, but Admissions told me I could still apply separately, discuss my interest in Summer Start, and I would be considered for a limited number of spots that weren't offered on an invitation-only basis. I personally think it's a great program, and I would love the opportunity to take a required core class and a management elective I would have taken anyway over the summer. Unfortunately I now have to write one more essay.
And just bear in mind, while Summer Start students eventually only end up paying $2,500 more in tuition as opposed to the regular Fall start students, the Financial Aid office puts down the total cost of attendance during the summer term at $17,749. Of course, this includes housing, travel, books, health insurance et cetera.

Hi all,
This is my first post. I was extended an interview for a R1 application for the summer start program. The Stern website gives limited information on it aside from the fact that you pay an extra $2,500 to start in mid-July and it focuses on building leadership amongst a small pool of applicants. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
Are they saying I am "slow" and need an extra boost by taking a few courses early?
Thanks
