Calling all Q51 achievers and experts!!!

Calling all Q51 achievers and experts!!! [#permalink] New post   16 Feb 2018, 15:55
Hey guys,

I just wanted to figure out what most top quant achievers have done to get Q51. For an average guys, how many practice test is needed to get that habit of hitting Q51 consistently in practice test so that to score Q51 in the real test comfortably? How you have studied? Theory?practice test?

What I personally use is Gmatclub math book for theory, forum question bank and Gmatclub test for practice. But when I do full quant CAT, even if I know all the concepts I get stuck,and it took me a while to get the question done,later when I look through the explanation I say "Damn, how couldn't I observe this pattern, logic, etc".Also, I do lots of silly mistakes.

What else can I do? May be I should change the strategy.

Any tip/advice is appreciated!!

it is not difficult to get Q51, How many practices you have done? What is your score in your practice?

Thanks for answering. My last score on GMATprep a couple of days ago was Q46. What should i do from there on to assure Q51?

It depends. What types of questions are you missing, and why are you missing them? If there are areas you're getting wrong consistently, study those areas (and do sets of problems from those areas to practice). If you're missing all different types of problems, you may still be missing them for the same reason (such as careless math errors). Once you know what's keeping you from hitting 51, you'll know what to work on and we'll be able to give you better advice.

If you haven't done so already, take the free Manhattan Prep practice test - it includes some good diagnostics that will help you ID some weaknesses.
