Congrats to all who are receiving calls!

I have heard that DB starts late - calls well into the next morning (like 3am in some cases) - so keep positive until the very last minute.

I get the impression he tries to reach you before the close of business on the 31st of March in whatever timezone you reside.

He is clearly a machine.

Best of luck!

I know it's early, but I'm having a bad feeling. :(
Anyone know if he only calls the preferred number or could he call any one of the numbers that we listed in the application?

No idea. But my suggestion is not to worry about it. Do like I did -- have a margarita or two. Relax. It's a point of interest for sure, but at the end of the day, the likelihood that what happens in the next 24 hours will make or break any of us is pretty small.

mTORC1, he calls your preferred number, and if he doesn't get through he will try the rest of the numbers listed (that s what happened for me anyways)

Congrats! So are you choosing Stanford over your other options? :)

Out of curiosity, can one be waitlisted without interview? I assume it ain't possible.

My understanding from prior reading is that yes, it is possible.

Yes 100%

Happens to around 25-50 people per round

Congrats! What an amazing feeling especially after your other 2 options not going as well!

Stanford >>> MIT ;) (JMO)

Just got the call. He was VERY polite and kind.

However, for those of you waiting up anxiously, he said I was in his west coast stack by accident. So, don't take it as a sign one way or another if you haven't heard by tonight but aren't on the west coast -- he emphasized his lessons in manners say he shouldn't be calling this late, and it sounded like he had more calls for tomorrow.

Good luck to all!

Are you supposed to receive the call before the online status is available in orderto get in?

Congrats! :)

Do you know whether you are planning on GSB or the other schools you were admitted to?

I might be in the same shoes as you (reapplying) so may have some PM's coming your way! :)

Congrats to all who received calls from DB. Considering I'm on the east coast, a ding or WL is likely. Unfortunately for me, I was also WL last year, so this definitely sucks.

I have a feeling the essays were my main weakness; I actually didn't change too much from last year thinking this year was going to be less competitive. <- Def a poor strategy. :(

I've now been WLed at Wharton, Sloan, and Haas, and perhaps also Stanford, so I may be applying again; maybe I'll be that 3rd attempt Stanford MBA student! Peace!
